2019 40 Emerging Civic Leaders under 40 Honorees recognized by Ret. Assemblymember Sebastian Ridley-Thomas at the ceremony of the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee of the Empowerment Congress.

Hosted in collaboration with the Empowerment Congress and the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, the award reception highlighted Los Angeles’ up and coming leaders who are paving the way in advocacy, governance, philanthropy, and private industry.

Since its 2016 inception, the Emerging Civic Leaders Committee has selected a cohort of 40 Second District leaders under the age of 40 that represent the highest levels of service in the fields of labor, business, public service, NGO/philanthropy or media.
