Founded by the Kauffman Foundation, 1 Million Cups is based on the notion that entrepreneurs network and discover solutions over a million cups of coffee. The free, monthly gathering helps build startup communities on a grassroots level. Beginning February 7 and meeting every first Wednesday of the month through January 2019, entrepreneurs, innovators, funders and other community members interested in investing in Downtown Long Beach are invited to attend the sessions from 7:30 - 9 AM at Studio 111/Retail Design Collaborative, located at 245 East Third St., in Downtown Long Beach. The program’s model is consistent in each city: two startups present their companies to an audience of mentors, advisers, and other entrepreneurs.
